While our emotions each serve a valuable purpose, they may occasionally become a bit too big to serve us well. As our emotions influence our thoughts and behaviors, it’s important to be able to manage them, especially when they feel overwhelming. In this mindfulness exercise, you’ll envision your emotions as a song that keeps getting louder. Using your breath, you’ll practice hitting pause and dialing the too-big emotions down to a manageable level.
